Coach Matthew Barreau gave all of his athletes goals for the final chance qualifiers, and said if they met those time goals they would get the opportunity to throw him into the steeplechase pit. Freshman Josh Showalter's goal was 9:40 for his debut 3k Steeplechase. After running 9:38.30, Coach Barreau followed through with the agreement.
